A About Me

I am Rev. Fr. MaryNelson Ojijo Ongiri a diocesan Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Nairobi.

I was ordained a deacon on 17th September 2011 and priest on 29th December 2012. I am  currently working at Assumption of  Mary parish in Umoja within the Archdiocese of Nairobi.

I have always felt the need to spread the love of our Mother the Blessed Virgin Mary and I strongly believe that through this website I will be able to reach many people.

I like reading spiritual books especially the life of Saints. I also give spiritual talks to Christians in form of retreats and recollections and also on radio. Every Friday, I give a talk about Our Lady on Radio Maria Kenya Nairobi.

I am motivated by two Biblical verses

John 2:5

…” Do whatever He tells you”

Hebrews 5:1-6

Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was. In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,

“You are my Son;

    today I have become your Father.”

And he says in another place,

“You are a priest forever,

    in the order of Melchizedek.”
